Women's lifting tee · Prototype stage

Covered in the squat. No sweat print on the bench.

CoverCore is an oversized lifting tee with a snap-on back panel. The panel covers your backside while you lift. When you sit or lie on a bench, it goes under you like a towel.

Technical drawing, back view. An oversized tee with a panel attached at the back. The panel snaps to a hidden strip inside the shirt, 3 inches above the hem, and comes in a short length ending at mid-thigh and a long length ending just above the knee. A B C D

  2. The shirt hangs over the top of the panel, so no snaps show
  3. Short panel ends at mid-thigh
  4. Long panel ends just above the knee

How it works

One panel, two jobs

The panel is designed to hang behind you when you stand and end up under you when you sit, with nothing to adjust between exercises.

When you squat

The panel hangs behind you, so you stay covered at the bottom of the lift.

When you sit

It goes under you on a bench or machine seat. Sweat soaks into the towel side instead of the seat.

When you lie back

On a flat bench it sits under your hips, which is where sweat prints usually show up.

Materials

Three layers, in this order

From your body out: towel, barrier, then the same fabric as the shirt.

Fabric
We're testing organic cotton and a blend of cotton and viscose made from bamboo for the shirt, the towel layer and the outer layer. The prototype will tell us which holds up better.
Barrier
This is the part we're still sourcing. Before launch we'll say exactly what it's made of and how to care for it.
Extra panels
Panels snap on and off, so we plan to sell them separately. Keep a fresh one in your gym bag or swap one in while the other is in the wash.
Cross-section of the panel when you sit on it. Sweat from your body goes into the terry towel layer, the thin moisture barrier stops it, and the outer fabric layer rests on the bench. You Bench
  1. Terry towelFaces you and soaks up sweat.
  2. Moisture barrierA thin layer that keeps sweat from soaking through.
  3. Outer fabricMatches the shirt. This is the side that touches the bench.
Length comparison. Both panels start at the snap strip just above the shirt hem. The short panel ends at mid-thigh and the long panel ends just above the knee. Waist Shirt hem Mid-thigh Above knee Short Long

Panel lengths

Two lengths on test

Both snap to the same strip. The first prototype is one shirt with a short and a long test panel.

Short

Ends at mid-thigh

Less fabric around your legs, and still covers you through a squat.

Long

Ends just above the knee

More coverage, and more towel under you on the bench.

After you join, you can tell us which length you'd pick. Those answers help decide which one we make first, or whether we offer both.

Questions

FAQ

When can I buy one?

There's no launch date yet. The first prototype is being made now. Waitlist members will hear about a launch date before anyone else.

How much will it cost?

The price isn't set. After you join, one of the optional questions asks what feels fair, and those answers go straight into the pricing decision.

Do the snaps show?

No. The snap strip is sewn inside the shirt about 3 inches above the hem, and the shirt hangs over the top of the panel.

Can I wear the shirt without the panel?

Yes. Unsnap the panel and it's an oversized tee.

How do I wash it?

Unsnap the panel and wash both pieces. We'll publish exact care instructions once we've tested the fabrics and the barrier layer.

Are any of these images real photos?

No. There are no product photos yet. The drawings on this page are illustrations, and any AI-generated concept image we share will always be labeled as one.

What do you do with my email?

We use it to send CoverCore updates and nothing else. We won't sell it, and every email includes an unsubscribe link.
